No fixed itinerary.
Ten days built around you.
We don’t hand you a rigid day-by-day schedule. Most groups roam western Sicily — Palermo, Cefalù, Trapani, Segesta, Erice, Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello, Montelepre, Alcamo, Menfi, San Vito Lo Capo — but we shape each day around what makes your group’s eyes light up.
The other one means the most to us, honestly. Most of the families who travel with us are American with Sicilian blood somewhere back a generation or two and for a lot of them, that’s the whole reason they came.
For an added cost, we’ll take you into the town your family left behind and help you dig through what the local archives still hold, baptismal records, old civil registers, whatever’s there. It’s slow, and we won’t pretend it always turns something up.
But we’ve watched guests walk into the very church where their great-grandparents were married, or find a name they’d only ever heard around a kitchen table. Nothing on the tour comes close to that moment.
Both of these we plan together, ahead of time, so there are no surprises. But almost without fail, they’re the stories our guests tell first when they get home.

Every family is a little different
Every Sicilian Adventures tour has its own rhythm, but every family is a little different, so a few experiences aren’t built into the itinerary by default. We just ask what you’re hoping for, look at the weather and how everyone’s feeling, and go from there.
One we love arranging is a morning or afternoon out on the water in the Gulf of Castellammare. Not a photo-op, not a staged charter, just you, a fishing line, and Hunter or one of our guys who actually knows these waters, out on a boat with nothing around you but the sea and the coastline you’ve already fallen for from land. Half the time nobody’s even watching the line. You’re just sitting there, sun on your face, taking it all in.
